Mary Beeler
Head Coach 17 Black
Mary brings a great energy in the gym and we are very excited to have her leading our 17 Black team this season! She played as an outside hitter and DS currently playing for the Wellesley college team.
Emma smallcomb
Head Coach 17 National
Emma is a seasoned Libero/Setter with an impressive 6 years of coaching under her belt including 2 years with UVC. She is currently the assistant coach at Brandeis University, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the game.
Emma’s playing journey began at Sacred Heart University, where she played as their libero for 5 years honing her skills and developing a deep understanding of the game. Now, as a coach, she strives to instill that knowledge in the next generation of players.
One of Emma’s favorite drills is the dynamic and strategic "Offense vs. Defense," designed to challenge players and enhance both offensive and defensive skills.
Hope Mcfall
Assistant Coach 17 Black
Hope is an accomplished player and dedicated coach with a specialization in Outside and Libero positions from Lasell University.
With two years of coaching experience she is returning to coach with us this season with a winning mindset and a commitment to excellence to our team. One of her preferred drills is the dynamic and strategic "6's Snake," designed to challenge players and enhance teamwork in a fast-paced setting.
Kate Giang
Assistant Coach 17 Black
We are very excited to have Coach Kate assisting our 17 Black team this season! A skilled Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist from Wellesley college she brings her 3 years of coaching experience to the gym this season! Her favorite drills are high energy 6x6 drills that force communication to build a great team chemistry!
Logan Sras
Head Coach 17 Northeast
Logan is a former middle blocker/right side that is joining us for his first season with UVC! After playing at Regis college and more recently for the Boston Hurricanes he pulls from a wide variety of playing experiences to form drills and practices that will be impactful and beneficial for his players. He brings a great energy in the gym and we look forward to watching him lead this team!
Alex will be assisting Emma this season working with our 17 national team. Alex is a a skilled DS/Libero who played at Haverhill High and Simmons University. She has spent the last 9 years coaching, spanning middle school, high school, and club levels and we are very excited to have her working with our athletes this season!
As a former player, Alex brings a variety of experiences and a commitment to excellence. She has a true passion for the game that is evident in the way she approaches her practices.
Anthea lavergne
Assistant Coach 17 Northeast
Anthea will be assisting our 17 Northeast team this season! Anthea comes to UVC with 12 years f coaching experience and a history of playing as a former pin hitter and setter. Her favorite drills put an emphasis on developing teamwork, spatial awareness, and volleyball IQ as she understands that these are crucial aspects of the game! We look forward to following her success this season.
